29 medical professionals from Jilin Province, China, participated in a K-beauty training program in Seongnam, South Korea, organized by the Seongnam Regional Korean Medical Device Education and Training Center. The event aimed to strengthen cross-border ties and showcase Korean aesthetic devices and techniques to potential Chinese buyers and distributors.

Program background

The KAT (K-beauty Advanced Skill Training Workshop) program, now in its third edition, previously took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Shenyang, China. This session focused on Jilin Province, a key region in Northeast China actively developing its medical and bio industries. The program brought together 23 medical staff from public and private hospitals, including Beihua University, Jilin University, and Yanbian University, along with six officials from the Jilin Provincial Commerce Department.

Industry exchange and business matching

On June 9, a Korea-China medical aesthetics industry exchange was held at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital’s Healthcare Innovation Park. Eleven Korean medical device companies—including Pharmaresearch, Huons Meditech, Ikleo, Hugel, Amaros, Meta Pharm, Iri, Woori Medical, J&L, Tura, and MediHub—presented their technologies and discussed market entry strategies for China. The Seongnam Industrial Promotion Agency and the Jilin Provincial Plastic Surgery Association signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate future cooperation.

Hands-on training and device demonstration

Day two featured cadaver training at the Catholic University International Surgical Skills Education Center and patient-based demonstrations at Pascal Clinic in Gangnam. Participants practiced procedures such as lower eyelid fat repositioning, thread lifting, and auto-injector techniques. Training utilized GASI sutures from Pascal Korea, Elravie filler from Humedix, and the A-Ject digital syringe from MediHub.

Company visits and product sharing

On the final day, attendees visited three Seongnam-based medical device companies: Huons Group, Pharmaresearch, and Ikleo. They explored products like DermaShine Pro and Rejuran, and discussed collaboration opportunities for entering the Chinese market.

Sourcing context

This event highlights growing demand for Korean aesthetic devices and training among Chinese medical professionals, particularly from Northeast China. For overseas buyers and distributors, it signals a structured pathway for Korean suppliers to engage with Chinese partners through government-backed programs. Companies like Hugel, Huons, and MediHub are actively seeking distribution channels in China, making this a key market to watch for device and consumable sourcing.
