Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, secured $6.42 million in contract negotiations and $7.55 million in consultations through 184 export meetings at the 2026 Vietnam K Medical Device Expo. The result signals growing demand for Korean medical aesthetics and healthcare devices in Vietnam, a market where 90% of medical devices are imported, offering clear opportunities for overseas distributors and clinic buyers.
Exhibition highlights
From June 4 to 6, 20 Gyeonggi-based companies exhibited at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. Sectors covered included infection prevention, diagnostics, surgery and rehabilitation, beauty and healthcare, and health products. The province operated a group pavilion, providing each company with a dedicated interpreter, pre-show marketing training, market intelligence, and buyer matchmaking.
Market signal
Vietnam’s medical device market is expanding rapidly due to healthcare infrastructure growth and rising demand for medical and beauty products. With approximately 90% of devices imported, the country is a high-potential entry point for foreign suppliers. Korean biohealth exports—spanning medical devices, biopharmaceuticals, and cosmetics—are projected to exceed $30 billion in 2026, according to the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
What buyers should watch
Distributors and clinic buyers in Vietnam and across ASEAN should monitor Gyeonggi Province’s post-exhibition support, including continued buyer connections and export consulting. The province’s focus on beauty and healthcare devices aligns with Vietnam’s growing aesthetic treatment demand. Importers seeking reliable OEM or finished-device partners may find competitive options among these Korean suppliers.
Regulatory and channel signals
Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated: "Vietnam is a key ASEAN market with high growth potential and marketability. We will strengthen our support by connecting with buyers and providing follow-up consulting so that the results from these consultations can lead to actual export contracts." This commitment suggests sustained channel development for Korean medical aesthetics products in Vietnam.
