Editor's note

This strategic investment signals Humedix's pivot from invasive to non-invasive aesthetics, with exclusive global rights to Almond&Co's needle-free tech. Buyers should watch for potential bundled solutions combining injectables with AI-driven delivery devices, which could reshape clinic product offerings and supply-chain dynamics.

South Korean aesthetic device and injectables maker Humedix has signed a strategic investment and business agreement with Almond&Co, a developer of non-invasive beauty devices. The deal grants Humedix exclusive domestic and international rights to Almond&Co’s non-invasive medical devices and first negotiation rights for upcoming home beauty devices, signaling a push into AI-driven, needle-free aesthetic technology.

Deal structure

Humedix secured exclusive global commercialization rights for Almond&Co’s existing non-invasive medical devices, as well as first negotiation rights for future home beauty devices. The partnership aims to co-develop new business models in the aesthetic medicine sector and accelerate commercialization.

Technology focus

Almond&Co’s core technology delivers active ingredients into the skin without needles. It combines contact-electrode skin measurement with precision electronic control to finely adjust drug delivery pressure and depth. Humedix views this as a next-generation platform that can reduce patient pain and maximize ingredient delivery efficiency.

Strategic rationale

Humedix plans to extend its competitiveness from the traditional invasive aesthetic market into the non-invasive segment. The company intends to integrate this technology with its core product lines, including skin boosters and botulinum toxin, to create new treatment paradigms.

Executive comments

"We will develop data-driven treatment protocols using AI-based skin diagnosis technology and expand our product portfolio," said Kang Min-jong, CEO of Humedix. "By adding non-invasive technology to the competitiveness we have secured in the invasive market through DermaShine, we will expand our business domain in all directions."

Seo Min-jae, CEO of Almond&Co, added: "Collaboration with Humedix, a leading domestic aesthetic company, is highly meaningful. This partnership will be an important milestone for Humedix's global leap forward and Almond&Co's continued growth."

What buyers should watch

Overseas distributors and clinic buyers should monitor how Humedix integrates Almond&Co’s needle-free delivery technology with its existing injectable portfolio. The exclusive global rights suggest Humedix may soon offer combined solutions that pair skin boosters or toxins with non-invasive delivery devices, potentially creating new bundled product opportunities for aesthetic clinics.
