Editor's note

This piece highlights Onslo's pharmacy channel debut via Barofam, a platform connecting 25,000 South Korean pharmacies. For buyers, this signals a growing K-beauty pharmacy retail trend, offering new B2B sourcing opportunities. The regulatory question centers on how derma skincare products navigate pharmacy distribution rules, while supply-chain risks involve scaling through a nationwide network.

Korean skincare brand Onslo, operated by Pinch House, has launched into the pharmacy channel through the Barofam platform, offering eight core products. This move signals a growing convergence of derma skincare and pharmacy retail in South Korea, creating new distribution opportunities for overseas buyers and distributors targeting the K-beauty pharmacy segment.

Brand and product lineup

Onslo is introducing four patch products and four cheek pack products. The patch line includes retinal nasolabial fold patches, retinal glabellar line patches, tranexamic acid dark spot patches, and PDRN eye patches. The cheek pack line features collagen, niacinamide, madecassoside, and hyaluronic acid variants.

Barofam platform and pharmacy channel expansion

Barofam is a pharmacy management platform connected with approximately 25,000 pharmacies across South Korea. It integrates drug ordering, operational tools, and pharmacist community features, along with listing support, product planning, marketing, and logistics services. The pharmacy channel is expanding beyond pharmaceuticals into health functional foods and derma skincare, driven by the rise of beauty- and skincare-specialized pharmacies in tourist districts such as Myeongdong, Seongsu, and Gangnam.

Sourcing context

Pinch House plans to leverage Barofam's nationwide pharmacy network for channel expansion. Point-of-sale display materials will be provided to help pharmacists and consumers easily identify product information. A company representative stated, "This listing is the first step for Onslo to enter the pharmacy channel, a starting point to bring zone-specific skincare solutions closer to pharmacy consumers."

What buyers should watch

Onslo will launch eight products in June, followed by three additional pharmacy-channel-specific skincare products in July. For overseas importers and distributors, this entry into pharmacy retail signals a potential new B2B sourcing opportunity for K-beauty products tailored to the pharmacy segment, which is gaining traction in South Korea and may influence similar trends in other markets.
