Editor's note

This report highlights Sidel’s aseptic PET line at Thai Coconut, a sourcing signal for buyers of premium beverage or skincare-compatible packaging. The FDA-ready, high-output line with dry sterilisation reduces supply-chain risk for international exports. Regulatory compliance and format flexibility are key for medical aesthetics distributors evaluating packaging partners.

Thai Coconut has installed a full aseptic PET bottling line from Sidel, shifting from cans and cartons to meet growing international demand for coconut juice. The move signals a packaging upgrade relevant to medical aesthetics buyers sourcing premium beverage or skincare-compatible liquid packaging solutions.

Line capabilities

The new line runs at 45,000 bottles per hour and can handle both carbonated and still aseptic coconut juice products on the same system. It uses Sidel’s Aseptic Combi Predis process, which integrates preform sterilisation, blow moulding, filling, and capping in one step. This flexibility allows Thai Coconut to produce 350ml non-CSD and 350ml CSD formats with the same filler.

Dry sterilisation and efficiency

Predis employs a dry method to decontaminate preforms, reducing water and chemical use while maintaining food safety standards. The line also includes Sidel’s Evo-ON Performance system, which tracks production in real time and supports line adjustments using operating data for staff and managers.

Regulatory compliance and export focus

A key factor in the project was compliance with international rules, particularly US FDA requirements. Sidel confirmed the aseptic PET line is FDA-ready, and 90% of the line’s output is allocated to international markets. Thai Coconut CTO Montri Banraungsanor said: “We chose Sidel due to its strong reputation and proven expertise in the aseptic market. Sidel’s packaging team also developed a new bottle design that enhances both our marketing impact and shelf presence.”

For medical aesthetics distributors and clinic buyers sourcing packaging for liquid products such as serums, toners, or oral supplements, this development highlights the growing availability of aseptic PET lines that combine high output, format flexibility, and FDA readiness. The dry sterilisation method also aligns with sustainability trends in beauty packaging. Importers evaluating packaging partners should note Sidel’s track record in aseptic solutions and its ability to support global compliance.

Demonstrating our commitment to the performance of our customers, during customer validation, the recent line installed at Thai Coconut delivered 100% efficiency.” In April, Sidel also introduced the EvoFILL PET filling machine for water and uncarbonated beverages, further expanding its portfolio for liquid packaging.
